Enhancing Sports Fencing: A Case Study for SUFC Bangalore
Client Introduction: SUFC Bangalore, one of the oldest and esteemed football clubs located in the Ulsoor Locality of Bangalore, approached us with a unique requirement for sports fencing. They had explored several vendors but encountered challenges in finding the right solution due to the innovative nature of the fencing they envisioned.
Challenges Faced: The project presented several challenges, particularly in ensuring the stability of the fencing against strong winds. The design involved square pipes reaching a height of 30 feet above the ground, necessitating rigorous structural planning and testing. To secure the project, we had to provide multiple samples to demonstrate the stability and aesthetic appeal of our design.
Design Variations: We explored various design possibilities, including 10 feet 4″ round pipes, 10 feet 3″ pipes, and 10 feet 2″ pipes, but these options did not fully meet the client’s aesthetic requirements. After further collaboration, we developed alternative designs until we identified one that aligned perfectly with the client’s expectations.
Unique Post Erection Approach: The project required a distinctive approach to post erection. We employed a method involving a 3′ feet pipe with a base plate below the ground and a base plate with a 30′ feet pipe above the ground. Subsequently, we erected 3′ feet poles with concrete, creating a robust foundation.
Overcoming Height Challenges: The significant height of the posts posed challenges during the welding process, as modern cranes were not feasible for this project. To address this, we devised a movable ladder solution that facilitated efficient welding and installation.
Exceeding Client Expectations: Our commitment to addressing every challenge resulted in a successful project that exceeded the client’s expectations. Not only did it provide effective sports fencing, but it also generated substantial business for SUFC Bangalore. The project garnered significant attention and made the club a prominent feature in the town.
